The 12th annual 🎗️Crazy for a Cure🎗️ is right around the corner and we are honoring two of our very own SPS graduates: All proceeds from this event will go towards former SPS students: Kathryn Rowzee '23 and Madilyn (Barnhart) Kaiser '20 who, ironically, are both suffering from bone related cancers resulting in leg amputation. We're hoping to rally our community bigger than ever before to show our support for two wonderful women in hopes that our support can help uplift them during these difficult times.
The Crazy for a Cure 2026 main events take place during the Girls Basketball game on Thursday, January 29 vs Alleman and Boys Basketball game on Friday, January 30 vs. Quincy.
At these games, we will be selling raffle tickets for various donated items and baked goods - winners will be announced between 3rd and 4th quarters of both basketball games!
Those looking to help in other ways, can do so by donating a baked good or raffle basket for either or both nights of our events. Please contact Nicole Schlemmer or Alexis Ruiz if you are interested in providing a donation of any kind.
This year, we are offering 12 shirt colors in honor of different cancers with a lavender option to honor all. - the price is $12 for Youth Small - Adult XL, and $14 for extended sizes 2X & 3X. If you are interested in purchasing a shirt, the orders are due via Google Form order on Wednesday, January 21. Scan the QR Code on the flyer to place an order or click HERE.

Last night was the third annual Future Educator Club Winter Social Alumni event! SHS students, SHS alumni currently in college, and SPS staff came together to talk about careers in education—the challenges, the highlights, and the joy of caring for children ❤️ We shared great conversations, played games, laughed, and celebrated our passion for education. Cheers to 2026 and to hopefully seeing some of these students return as future SPS staff!
