The GREAT 8th GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES COMPETITION has begun for 2023-2024 school year! A new traveling trophy has been introduced (Jerry Pictured below) for the students to earn for their core to hold onto. The CMS Eighth grade social studies students have completed their first competition between cores over the Pre-Civil War Unit. This competition saw two amazing competitors who tried their best to bring the trophy back to their classes. It was nice to see the students once again cheer on their representatives as they competed. Tension was high for both the participants and their teachers. Both participated valiantly, but in the end Core 2 brought home the trophy. Core 8.2 has the first point on the scoreboard for the school year. Will Core 8.2 be able to keep the trophy next unit???
