On February 4, we recognized our newest members to our AR Point clubs. Students can earn AR points by taking short quizzes on stories they read for pleasure or class. Students also have access to MyOn, an online service that provides students with a wide variety of texts -- at their reading level, which they can access at home. It even reads stories to the students! When students have acquired 25 points, they can pick out a book; at 50 points, they receive a certificate for a treat from a local restaurant; at 100 points, they can invite a friend to have a private lunch in the principal's office; and at 250 points students receive a teeshirt. We are so proud of our reader leaders at Washington!
