Retiree Spotlight: Lisa Lobdell

We want to take a moment and honor Lisa Lobdell on her retirement. She has been a valuable member of the Sterling Public School's family and she will be missed! Below is a message from Lisa!

"I began my teaching career with SPS in 1988. Being a product of SPS schools, I was excited to begin my career in the district I grew up in. I taught 5th grade and Kindergarten at Lincoln, then moved on to Jefferson to teach Kindergarten and 1st grade. I can’t believe it has been 34 years in all! I have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people, and I cherish the memories, stories, jokes, and laughs shared with them! My most treasured moments of my teaching career have been the experience of witnessing a young child’s eyes light up with joy when they realize they have learned something new. I am looking forward to retirement and enjoying time with family, especially the newest addition of our first grandchild. Oh…and being able to leisurely drink my Diet Coke while I watch my husband (Mr. Lobdell) and daughter (Mrs. Grevengoed) still have to go to school every day."
