Band Party - 5th-8th Grade

Our end of the year band celebration is Friday, May 13, 2011 from 3:30-6:30 PM at Challand Middle School. We will play games, watch movies, and have pizza and our music money auction. There is no charge for this party. Parents are welcome, too. Please RSVP so that we can order the correct amount of food. An RSVP form was sent home to all 5-8th grade band students. Click here for the flyer.

Music Money Auction

Beginning Band students have been collection music money this year, and it's finally time to spend it! The students are asked to bring in one item to auction off, and I will also bring in additional items. The auction will be on May 13 at the CMS/Washington/Lincoln Band party. Items can be turned in at CMS before band rehearsal or at Washington and Lincoln on your child's lesson day. Thank you for helping to make this a fun and exciting experience for the students! Last year, students really enjoyed getting gift cards, cash, donuts, board games, play station games, and so much more.

CMS has a subscription to smart music. You can purchase a year's subscription for $30. It's a great practice tool for all student musicians. Check out the smart music page...they have a video for students and parents that helps you learn about smart music and what it can do.

There are three music stores that service our school: Kidder Music, West Music, and Griggs Music. If you need to send your instrument in or order any supplies, please let me know, and I can have them delivered to the school for you.
